For wood siding applications it is recommended to install a rain screen directly on the wallforms and utilize furring strips to create an air gap between the back of the siding and the wall of the building. Allow this base material to harden for one hour and scratch lightly with a plaster rake. Wipe surface with tact cloth and i used premixed plaster of paris from a local box store. Applying stucco over your existing wood siding is a great way to cover up wood that is looking old and worn or simply to give your home a new look.

Then apply a thin layer of stucco to the wire mesh surface as a base for the final coat. Stucco adorns the facade or interior walls in many homes. Let the primer dry thoroughly.
